Okay so we are still here and we are making progress folks!! This weekend Nate and several others worked their tails off to get the floors laid. I am happy to say that by the end of TODAY all the new floors in our house will be in AND the kitchen cabinets will also be finished!! This is huge people!!! We are still here at my parents house, which I love, b/c of all the extra help and attention. But I am starting to feel awful, because we keep bringing in germs. Last time it was the stomach virus and this time it is pink eye. Yes, Cy decided to get pink eye over the weekend in both eyes so again, sorry to the fam, we just keep spreading germs! Other than that we are all doing great and we even attended one family Christmas celebration over the weekend. (I did not know we had the pink eye at this point!)
Here is a pic I stole from Courtney of the kiddos singing. This has great importance to me, b/c this was the way Cy was supposed to sing at his preschool program last Tuesday. I am sure none of you are surprised that Cy did not sing Jingle Bells like a normal human, instead he left the stage screaming!!! Oh well he sang loud and proud for his great grandmother Stokes and that is all the matters.
We still have several more fun christmas parties and outings, but the pics will have to come later. Hope your holiday week is wonderful!

Still around??
hello blogger friends!
So this is the update from Lankford land! We are still homeless. We have spent the last week or so here at my parents with the exception of last night. On Wednesday night we were blessed with the stomach virus around here so we moved out for a day so that my mom could have her school Xmas party here. Cy started the virus fun on Wendesday evening and then it ran through the house like wildfire! We are all doing better except for Colby who is still having a hard time keeping things in! We moved to Non and Pop's upstairs bonus room and shut the doors for the last 24 hours. The boys and I watched every episode of D*ora or D*iego that we could find! Sweet Nate continues to work on our house everyday with the hopes of us getting in there by next weekend! I am really just holding out for Christmas eve!! All in all we are doing fine, I have some fun pics from the last couple of weeks, but my personal computer is packed so I am unable to download them! Hopefully I will catch up in a couple of weeks! We did watch Nate make a great "Frosty" with Uncle Taylor in the front yard last night! What a great snow we had and how pretty out in the country it was. Hope to celebrate my mom's birthday this weekend and attend a fun party! We will continue to enjoy our life as nomads and remember to say Happy Birthday to Jesus every day!

This is the day...
.....that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! Today is offically moving day and I am reminding myself to rejoice and be glad in it! There are boxes EVERYWHERE, but the U*Haul comes this afternoon and off we will be! Going on a mini vacation around the fam, until the house is done, which will be fun! Hope to show new house pics soon though. Hope you remember to rejoice in this day as well!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Okay so this is an old pic since we will be 10 months old this weekend, but I just wanted to put a pic on here! Life is still crazy and we move in less than a week, but I am trucking ahead and making SOME progress. I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, I am blessed with so many "good and perfect gifts" from the Lord. Thanks be to Him.
We will be having a Lankford/Andrews slumber party tonight at Poppi's and then off to the firehall with the Watson's tomorrow! Yikes for the breakfast casserole that I made, I am not too much of a cook so we will see how it tastes in the morning. Hope you all have a wonderful day of rest and "thanksgiving."

Happy Birthday Friend!
So today is my friend's birthday and I thought I would share some facts about her and our friendship!
1. We have been friends since 1992! When she stalked me at cheerleading tryouts?!
2. We have been to Nationals for cheerleading together, but I will say we should have skipped the competition and just hung out with Mickey!
3. We have both liked TERRIBLE boys, although she may have liked a few more than me!!
4. We are official Big and Little Sis's in the land of the Deltas.
5. She used to cry ALL the time, I did not understand??
6. We have been to so many date parties, formals, and socials together it really is ridiculous!
7. We married best friends in the same year, had boys in the same year and have betrothed our second children to be married!
We have done lots the same, but we are just enough different to make it work! Friend I hope you have a great birthday and I am sure we will spend many more together!
Oh and we need to take more pics of adults and not so many of kiddos. This is the only one I could find to post!!

Quick update!
Okay so now we are down to the last two weeks before we move out! Just some facts to let you know how we are doing:
1. Not 1 box has been packed!
2. I am still pulling wallpaper off the walls.
3. Nate spent the weekend being the plumber/electrician! Gotta love him!
4. We have been to Home Depot and Lowes more times than I can count in the last week.
5. I was at Kroger at 6:45 this morning doing my grocery shopping for the week.
6. Oh and high school football came to an end last Friday night! It was a blast and we will miss it greatly next season.
We are still hanging in there, although I am not sleeping because I always seem to wake up worried that the paint I like won't match something!!! But we are so blessed to be able to fix up the house and have the funds to pick out things like bathroom vanities and paint!!God is good!

1. The Page Pats are still in the playoffs, way to go Tay and Tuck!!!
2. We do have a contract on our home and are supposed to be moved out in less than 25 days!
3. We have completely gutted the little farmhouse on our land and are trying to have it ready to live in, in less than 25 days!!!
4. I am trying to pick out things like appliances, paint colors, and lights!
5. I am trying to pack?!
6. And I am want to be a good wife, mom and friend! Thank you Lord for the madness and for the answer to our prayers this crazy month has brought us!
So not sure where blogging is going to fall into this but I will keep trying!

You win some, you lose some, but you have fun along the way!
Yesterday we woke up ready to face a day of total uncertainty. We could end the night, big winners, or NOT! Well unfortunately for us this was not our time. But the sun came up this morning and as I reflect on this past year, boy was it FUN! We have drug the kiddos to more crazy events, bus rides, phone banks, and Poppi(grown up) parties than I can even count. But man do we have so many memories because of it all. Cy today is just as happy to tell someone to "vote Poppi" as he was yesterday or 2 weeks ago! Poppi is a great man and I feel like we were so blessed to be apart of this clean, political race. Yes, it would have been way more fun to leave the party last night as the victor, but I think we needed this wake up call as Christians to get in gear! I just pray that we will have the opportunity to do something as amazing and fun as we have this year again in the future. Thank you to all that have supported and prayed for us, it means so much to me to have such a wonderful group of friends and family. Here are a few pics from the day! Enjoy and keep your eyes open for 2010!!
Sweet Gracey came and played with Cy last night! Thank you so much sweet girl, we needed you!!!
And our wonderful friends the Pilkintons, always their to support us no matter what crazy thing it is!
Us at the Republi*can party last night waiting on the results!
The youngest poll worker that we could recruit! Thanks Will man!

What exactly is a Hair Wolf?
Not sure exactly what he is, but I think he is pretty darn cute!!! Here is my littlest spook posing for pics, ear infection and all! I think the hair gel may be in Colby's future!!
We got the little spooks around here ready on Friday night and hit up a few houses in our neighborhood before heading out to church for the Fall Festival. Here is my cowboy and hair wolf posing with Dad!
This cowboy was serious about his trick or treating! He loved it!! I wish I had captured our very first house, where he tried to give the lady at the door some of the candy out of his bag. He thought it was a swap! Man was he pumped when he figured out you do not have to give them anything in return!

Football Fun!
Last week my computer accidentally took a spill and will now only work when it is connected by the big yellow cord to the wireless box! BUMMER!
So I was not able to get in all of the great football shots I had from last week. The first pic is from Thursday nights game at Page. It was the last game of the regular season and a MUST win for any playoff hopes! The seniors lined the field and walked out on last time to the coin toss. Tuck is #87 and I think #2, Taylor, must be in front of the line leading the group? Can't seem to find him in my pics. They had a great game and a great VICTORY! So for the first time in quite some time, the Pats are headed to the playoffs. Good luck guys!
Then we have Code Blue! Last Monday night, Nate and I got a sitter and joined the fam for the Monday night Tit*ans game! Yes, it is about 75 outside today, but on that night I think it was around 40! That is okay we layered up and wore those big Code Blue shirts and had a blast!

Nate and I have the privilege of sitting one row behind the official Tit*an man! We get a kick out of him the entire game.
Here they are my Dad and brothers loving every moment of the game and the atmosphere. Yes since this game the Tit*ans are now 8 and 0, and Tuck celebrated his 100th consecutive home game for the team. He has never, ever missed one! Sorry, Dad for that 1 you did miss!!!!

Fun Fall Weekend- Part 3
Happy 18th Birthday Uncle Tuck!!!!
Today we are celebrating Tuckers 18th birthday with him. For those of you reading this that have known me for some time, it is AMAZING that Tucker is 18. Yes we really are getting that old. I am super excited for him and all that the future has to hold! He is a pretty cool guy and has lots going for him. Even if he is related to this gang below!! We love ya Uncle Tuck!
Fun Fall Weekend- Part 2
The weekend fun continued on Saturday afternoon when we headed out to the land to have a Pumpkin Carving Contest and Fall Party. Miss Livi B. was the hostess and it was a wonderful event. I am sure her mom will post more pics as well so be sure to check her blog out! Not only did we carve pumpkins, but there was a serious apple bobbing contest. Here is Nate just coming up out of the water with his apple!
That is Uncle Rich diving in for his apple. He did not grow up bobbing for apples so he was given several instructions from the Stokes Hill Gang!
Congrats to Braxton on his apple bobbing win!

I laughed and told Grandma that I always seem to get a pic of her feeding one of my babies at this event each year! We laughed and decided maybe I just have too many babies!! Colby sure loves his Grandma though!
Here is Nate poking holes in his pumpkin. I would say he punched around 300 in that thing?!? It was great when the sun when down and his pumpkin looked like the night sky full of stars??!! He felt that he was once again robbed of the victory, but I am sure the judges were fair and impartial. Congrats to the parents of Miss Gracey G. for their win, with the entry of the pilgrims and turkey. It was great!! Thanks to Livi and her parents for a wonderful party!

Fun Fall Weekend- Part 1
Friday night football started this fun filled weekend off right! The Patriots celebrated Homecoming with a big victory over Spring Hill. Uncle Taylor had several touchdowns and we love watching he and Uncle Tuck play. We will miss this lots next fall! Here is a great picture of Cy and Poppi at the beginning of the game. They are big buddies and Cy is always ready to give out a good "Vote Poppi" to anyone around.
Here are my boys after the game with Pepe and Uncle Tuck. Cy loves to go out on the field after the game and high five his peeps!
All the Lankford boys LOVE to cheer on T-dawg! Rich, Nate, Colby, Cy, Pop, Braxton, Gavin and Uncle Joe are Taylors biggest fans. They are so proud to be Lankfords on Friday nights!
>
And here is Cy with his special cheerleader "Wanie", her name is Lanie and we have a MAJOR crush! Seriously, we are 2!!!! He melts when she comes around, which is often since she is Uncle Taylors girlfriend.

Fav Fotos Friday- Spooky Friends
Thanks Will and Caroline for hosting a great spooky party! We loved dressing up and can't wait to see our friends over the next week at all of the Fall activities!
Cy is supposed to be a happy cowboy and Colby is supposed to be a "Hair wolf" but his hair would not cooperate! We still have a week to work on it! Oh and Cy was definitely afraid of his 8 month old cousin Livi the lion! Yikes what am I going to do when we see a "real" spook?

Another great visit to that "Florida House"
We packed the car last Wednesday afternoon and headed to "that Florida house!" Nate and I took our crew along with Court and her gang and some Dr. friends and spent 5 nights at the beach. It was sooo relaxing and even though we had 8 kids to 6 adults it was pretty calm. The boys had a blast and Colby enjoyed every minute of sand eating. Cy was in heaven playing with the big boys and his Dad! We decided to stay an extra day and it was well worth it, Court and I had not finished our outlet mall shopping. I took lots of pics, but here are some of my favorites. Cy was usually being "big" so I do not have as many of him this time, but I snapped a few!
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Just taking a minute to look at that "wocean" that God made!
No they are not posing nicely, but I like that it shows the reality of 6 boys!
Sweet Brotherly Love
The fam, with Colby's eyes closed, of course!
What a stinker! He loved to watch the waves!
The most precious little toes I know.
Thank you "wocean" for a great time!

Class of '98- BGA style
This weekend was the 10 year reunion for Nate's class at BGA. It was held at Jackson and Anna Moran's house and it was great. Nate and his "football goonies" had a blast!!!! I did not go to BGA, but was friends with lots of people there so I had fun catching up with some old faces as well. Here is a pic of all of the classmates that attended, and the turn out was really good for their group.
Here were the "star" football guys that were in attendance from the 1998 state championship team! They were pumped about getting this picture made and checking out how tough they look!
Thankfully we are never far from our friends the Pilkintons, since Jesse and Nate graduated together. I was glad to have Amanda at the event as well. We had so much fun and sweet Beth G. was there, but somehow I managed not to get a pic with her. Oh well, maybe someone else has one to share.
Oh and take note of Nate's outfit. It is actually a little more in this decade, than the one he graduated in! I thought he looked great, while he couldn't decide if he looked "gothic??" or like a "lumberjack." It is never a dull moment with #31!!

My little "Punkins"!
On Thursday night we headed over to the Gentry Farm to have a little fun at the Pumpkin Patch with the kiddos from Cy's school. The weather was great and our little "punkins" had a blast! We met up with the Pilkintons and had fun riding the hay ride and playing on the pumpkins with Will and Caroline. Caroline looked adorable in her pumpkin pj's and we are so glad to have her around! Will and Cy both were on the hunt to find their teachers. Will was the first to spot his, but Cy finally found Mrs. Karen just as we were leaving. He was so excited, strange for him, but I am glad. It is super hard to get 4 people to pose in a half way normal looking picture, so the pic in front of the barn is our best shot! Enjoy the pictures and we are headed to Nate's 10 year reunion so I hope to have more pics to post soon!
My blue eyed buddy! He is really starting to get a little personality and he loved seeing all the kids at the farm!
These two are double trouble...they may look innocent now, but I know my day is coming with Cy and Will and their tricks!!!
The best family pic we have from the afternoon!
My littlest Punkin!! He was in heaven playing in the pumkin boxes.
Finally we found her, Mrs. Karen! We did miss Mrs. Robin, but were pleased with one of the two!
